Options:

On the island there are several levels of accommodation to suit all requirements and budgets. For the international traveller, there is an excellent 4 star hotel or serviced 2 and 3 bed, 2 bath apartments to choose from, and a number of pousadas (bed and breakfast type accommodation). For longer term stays, furnished or partly furnished homes are also available.

Orange Praia Hotel

This is the only one true hotel on the island, located at the southern tip of the island near the Fort.

Featuring a selection of en suite room styles and sizes, full à la carte restaurant with buffet and petisco (snack) menu options, bars, large swimming pool and leisure areas, conference facilities, tennis court, kids play area, football pitch, etc. Some English spoken.

Itamaraca Beach Residence

Located next to the Yacht Club, with easy access near the central roundabout, this modern beach-front development of 16 x 3 bed, 2 bath full-service apartments attracts both international and top end Brazilian clients to its top quality accommodations.

Direct access to the beach, pool, off-street parking, and an excellent level of equipment is standard in all units. Pilar town square is only a short distance away, and English is spoken.

Manga Verde Beach Residence

Designed so that all units have beach views, with both 2 bed and 3 bed full-service apartments available, this beachfront development is situated within walking distance of the Fort and Hotel, next to the kite surfing school.

With a big grass area in front, this development again offers top quality accommodation, with a pool, off street parking and direct beach access to tranquil waters. English, and many other languages, spoken.

Pousada Ruins do Pilar

Located in Pilar town square (which can be busy and lively at times), this is an old, but now fully renovated, pousada which also fronts the beach.

Pools and gardens, excellent gazebo overlooking the beach, some English spoken, and has a library of English language books.

While it may be simple in nature, it does serve a very nice breakfast.

Pousada Refugio do Forte

Close to the beach and the main road, at the Fort end of the island, with some facilities, rooms are comfortable and clean, has pool and facilities. May suit the more budget-conscious.

Pousada Vento Leste

Located on the main road towards the Fort, this is a cheaper alternative for those wanting basic but reasonable accommodation. Also has pool and games room, short walk to the beach.
